a couple trees fell down in this guys backyard so he called me up.  I removed trees , he tells me to follow him to his storage... bring a motor hoist.   The guy gave me a perfectly running 3.1 Turbo engine 150k complete with wiring harness , ecm, accesories...im stoked  Talk about a score... i've spent the last couple days cleaning the engine up... will post pics tomorrow. 

Awesome find, do you know the mileage?  Did he have the tranny also?

yea it was a pretty random occurance... forgot to mention he also gave me the intercooler and a tgp radiator in not the greatest shape but good to have for a recore.  GPchief, its got about 150k and there was no transmission, these were the last TGP parts and he just wanted it all out.  Anyway heres after a little wire wheelin.  I removed the valve covers and cleaned them , the inside of the motor appears to be really clean, no buildup at all : )

I've decided that my auto TGP is getting put back together all stock.  Should look nice with this turbo i just bought off Ken, I believe it was GOT2BGMs old one.

lucky lucky lucky.. good score though... did you even know he had this stuff?? i would love it if one of my neighbors had a tgp engine to give to me.. lol keep us informed on what you have in store for that thing..

yea i knew he had the stuff, i stripped a 89 TGP for him a while ago because he wanted it gone, it had no title, the trans was toast and the subframe was rotted off.  I removed the engine , trans and turbo stuff for him and he gave me the shell to strip.  he Sold the trans to a member here i believe as a core, the turbo/crossover got sold on ebay.  I've been meaning to give him a couple hundred bucks for the engine and whatever was left but never got around to it... then he called me out of the blue last week...

sounds like this turbo has been around the block . Were you the one who had it bebuilt/polished?
