Hi everyone, I'm not new to the site, just been a loooong time since i have been on.  Also long time since i have touched the Tgp.  anyway, anyone know the best way to get to the neutral safety switch?  I tried up through the wheel well, but just cant get to it.  The only options I see, are either taking the turbo out, or taking out the master cylinder.  Both which would create their own headaches i would rather avoid.  Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Jack, have you tried unbolting the dogbone(upper engine mounts) mounts and slaving the engine forward. The dogbones have a hole underneath designed so that you can tilt the engine to have more access to the rear of it. That *might* give you enough room to get at the neutral safety switch from the back of the engine. If it does give you enough room, it will probably still be pretty tough to get to it.

Welcome back to the board by the way. ;) Did you used to have another screenname here? I seem to remember your name...maybe from back when we had the old netavalanche site?

That was my next to try.  thanks for the welcome.  It used to be jacktgp90.  I just finally got a bug up my ass to get this thing back on the road.... 3 years later.  I know, the poor tgp has been neglected.  Need to put in the safety switch, turn signal switch, new tires, and some interior work.  Gonna try to find someone to do the front seats.  There is a guy local, but he is pricey.  But from what i hear, you get what you pay for.  any one ever have these leather seats done?, and what did it cost you.

With the engine in the car, its basically an all by feel thing.  We had to go from the bottom if I remember.  Hell with how easy an engine pull is, if we have to do it again, we'll probably just pull the motor to do it, would probably be faster.
