Want to wire in a Tachometer

Found a old tach in my buddies garage and want to wire it in. Where do I get the tach signal?

I believe the white wire at the ignition control module is the tach signal wire. I'll have to check to be 100% certain though.

is it the only white wire on the bigger plug? i want to do this while i currently have the ICM out. thanks!

Yep, it's the only white wire in the larger 6 wire plug.
