Yeah, I just couldn't figure out a way to work in the one member who claimed that adding a valance to his lightbulb kept it from overheating...

Fred931

What's the reason you need a new valence? I think it might be nearly impossible to find one, considering a production run of less than 10k, so is there any hope of fixing it, either by yourself or through a body shop? Maybe you should post some pics for the blokes here who know about this stuff a lot more than I do and see if it's recoverable.

my bumper cover itself is good but it doesnt have the lower air damn and i believe there 1 piece. I will try to upload pics but im not sure if I'll b able to.

I believe the bumper is two pieces, the air dam being attached to the main piece. I think this is true because of the way my air dam is separating in this pic:

That happened after the previous owners curbed it too many times. Taking off the bumper (however that's possible, I wouldn't know) and looking from the inside out should give a guaranteed answer. Of course, so will the more experienced guys around here. Somewhere...

jarrade

well then i only need the lower air dam piece. where are u located because my dad is an ASE master tech and does all my work and body work. if your close enough maybe we could work something out?

I know a lot of you are New Englanders, so mentioning Alabama probably doesn't help that cause. We have plenty of refutable body shops around here, so don't worry about the likely case that I'm not even 500 miles close to you.

jarrade

since your down south are there any of these cars in the junkyards anywhere near you?

I haven't poked around in junkyards since I was born. I doubt it, though.

I've been to every junkyard in ths area and the only gp's here are the 94-96's which usually are stripped out. Im going to start looking around online and see if any aftermarket companys make that piece.

94-96 b4u bumper is starting to sound tempting now isn't it

I'll stick to no air dam before I switch to the 94-96 b4u

Just in case you haven't searched the board or read some old posts here: The 91-93 Grand Prix's with the B4U kit(they look exactly like our cars except for the front bumper covers + head lights) have the same style valance. Those later valances are actually a slightly better design and are supposed to be less prone to sagging over time. You may be able to locate one nearby on www.car-part.com
