I don't know if this is the right spot, feel free to move it. I'm having trouble finding reasonably-priced tires, as in I can only find high performance tires for at least $100 each if I use the OEM size, and I'm sure cheaper tires are out there. I'm using my TGP as a daily driver and don't want the more expensive tires that I'll only have to replace sooner. Does anyone have any good recommendations for more economical tires? i.e. trying a different tire size?

Check out tirerack.com . They have good deals on tires, and the factory 245/50s aren't bad at all.

Here's one, I had these on my 88 GP SE and loved them. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=General&tireModel=Altimax+HP&partnum=45HR6AMAXHP&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes

If you're looking for less expensive than that, try your local craigslist for temporary used tires.
