turned out one of my relays was bad, got a spare module I had and retouched the solder joints, and it worked again, then found some broken wiring between the console lid and console, repaired that and everything finally works again! Thanks for the motivation to fix it!

Gibby, how did you repair your cluster?  If it's a simple fix, I can do it.  If it's more complicated, I will send it out to you.

Gibby

I just pulled it out, cleaned off all of the GM patened goo that they put on their parts and then resoldered EVERYTHING.  Hardest part is pulling cluster out... dash has to be removed and then its just about 8 screws.

I have my cluster out.  I re-ran pretty much all of the solder joints the other day, with no changes.  I will try to go over them again today.  I will see if maybe I need to scrub off more GM goo.

What was the problem with your cluster?

Gibby

Check engine light always on.  Couple lights burnt out.  Resoldered all joints, fixed the check engine light, and replaced bulbs.  I also sanded down the "turbo" and placed a bulb there to light it up

Heartbeat1991

Yeah, I did the turbo light thing.  Mine has gauge problems.  It needs more than just a re-solder.
