I finally tried to start my car this weekend with no luck. It turns over fine, has 50 psi fuel while cranking, oil pressure is coming up, noid lite blinks, has good spark, but it will not start. Sounds like timing but runs fine on starting fluid. This motor was purchased from a junk yard and I do not know how long it sat for. I rebuilt the engine so most of it is new. Sounds like it wants to start but just will not. Is it possible for fuel injectors to freeze up if the engine was sitting for an extended period of time? Anybody have any similar problems? Very frustrating weekeend.

Yes.  That old fuel sits inside those injectors and messes them up good.  If it's been sitting for 6 moths to a year, replace them.

well mine did that, it acted like it was out of gas but would turn over fine. it turned out to be the ecm in the computer.

There is actually a different issue that deals with the wiring between the ecm fuse and the ecm, but first does it run if you spray starter fluid in the hose going to throttle body??????

Fuel gets hard like rocks when sitting for a long time.  Injectors also seem to be a known gremlin among tgp owners.

Well my new accel injectors should be here friday so i'll find out saturday night if that is it. I got the 24# injectors as to leave room for future upgrades. Summit racing $181 total, not bad at all!

damnnnnn! were they on sale?  I paid $220  !

no, do not think so, got the acc150624 number from mark brownfield who said he paid the same price. That is a set of six injectors.

I figured it out.  at the time of ordering there was a couple week back order on the 150624's so i purchased 6 150124's at $34.39ea for a total of $206.34 and with ship $219ish.   Yeah i paid more but I had the money and didn't want to wait 3-4wks.  Either way you can pay $65ea (net used/rblt) or (dealer) $85ea and another quote dealer $123.52ea per for gm multec 22lb stockers.   I'll take my chances with the accels :)

Well the injectors worked!  Fired right up the first crank. Now I just have to mount the intercooler and pipe the intake and she'll be ready for the maiden voyage.

cool as shizzzzzz!  I have the same results!  I finally got the car back together sunday morning and it fired right up.  No leaking or anything or excess fuel smell.   I am totally satisfied with them.  I did notice my idle is better than before but as far as performance I cannot tell at all.  My idle used to sit at just under 1000 and now it sits right at 1000 :D !

Hows your fuel economy?

I really couldn't tell you because I only drive the car for maybe 30min tops a day.  I took my fans out cuz I am replacing with the ramchargers unit so I won't dare try to go any distances without proper cooling.  I'll find out maybe next week.  Its supposed to be 70deg finally this weekend so I can put on all my parts.  I also have to take apart the dreaded crossover and see what it looks like.
