Well I decided to change my spark plugs and wires yesterday.  The wires were pretty dirty and looked worn.  But when I pulled the plugs I was shocked to find BOsch Platnium Plugs in the engine.  They look pretty crappy too, very black.  I have a picture that I will post when I get home from work.  But the car dedfinitely runs smoother with the new plugs and wires.

One more question.   I was just wondering why is it exactly that you shouldn't use Platnium plugs in force induction cars?  What harm can it do?  Do you think that it did anything all this time in the engine?

It actually won't hurt anything having them in there. The platinum does not conduct the spark very well. Under accellaration the plugs can't spark enough to keep up with the extra fuel and air, which causes surging. Good plugs to use are Bosch Supers (they are copper core), or even the stock AC Delco's. I use Accel Plugs. I have had good results with them. What did you put in?

I thought platinum plugs got to hot and had the potential to have the tip bust off and screw things up???

I have heard of that happening in non-turbo and turbo cars. I have also heard that shitfires do that also.

platinum shitfires do... and I have a motor that proves it :(

I used the stock AC Delco R42LTS plugs (I think that is the number).  The platnium plugs looked very burnt on the tips.  I will post the picture I took if I have the chance tonight.

What wires did you use, or do you recommend?  Also do they fit right in the stock locations?  Thanks, I want to change my Plugs & Wires badly but I'm waiting for a Part Number for a set of wires and it's holding up my whole show  8)

I just used Bosch Plug Wires, they were like $25 and woork good so far.  I got those because both of mf TGP have them and run very well.  So I just got a new set of the same ones.
