Looks like I'm getting another black '89 if all goes well :D   I saw the car the other day at a little used car lot on my way home.  The car has been repainted and it looks flawless and there are absolutely no dents at all.  It has 111,000 miles on it.  The inside is really nice as well...even the driver's seat isn't ripped.  The engine is a little dirty, but the original turbo bag is on it so it must have been pretty well cared for in my opinion or at least not messed with.  I'm going back around 3p.m. today to take it for a ride and then to try and talk him down from the $3200 that he's asking.

Here are a couple pics:

Very nice :D

Something annoys me though. I looked for TGPs for 2 months before I found the one on ebay I bought and am fixing up. I wanted a black one..but there were none to be found. Now that I have a red one....there are TWO on ebay..and there's the one you're buying..and somebody else I talked to is buying one. Damn it...I wanted a black one

Find Mike J. on the W-body page. He has a real nice low mileage Black TGP for sale. Was going to trade him even for my TGP but he changed his mind! Oh well.... 8)

I just drove the car and it's really a beautiful car.  The suspension is tight and she drives a whole lot better than my other TGP.  We had to stop to get gas and the guy left it running, and I popped the hood to take a look at the engine.  I could hear the x-over leak and I told the guy to listen to it.  He finally agreed that it was leaking, and he was impressed as I spewed all that I know about TGP out while I was driving it.  He asked what a new x-over cost and I told him $475 for an aftermarket(Jeff M.) or over $1200 from GM if you can find one.  After we got back I asked him if he was pretty firm on the $3200 and he said to make him an offer, but only if I'm ready to put a deposit down.  I'm thinking that $2800 sounds good as he knows that the x-over pipe is $475.  I'm psyched :spin:    :headbang:

Show him $2000 cash and work from there! Cash in someones face always seems to motivate... 8)

Be careful man...new paint normally means body work or a crash!!  8)

Does anyone have a Carfax account that can run a VIN# for me.  I want to make sure that this car is as clean as it looks.  Email me nicolette@enter.net

Thanks,
Josh

Woohoo!!!  I'm picking up the new TGP tomorrow!!  Now, I just have to rape the x-over and TopGun chip off my other TGP.  It will be nice to drive a nice looking TGP for once :spin:
