I recently got a TGP...some of you may have seen it on Ebay.  Here is my web page with pics.
http://www.geocities.com/pontiacmicai26/MyGPPage
As you can see, the front end is off...but is being put back on this week.
Question 1...does anyone have or know where I can get a tranny cooler? The on there now was damaged.  PLease let me know.

Question 2...is there a fan upgrade?  The bracket for the fan was also damaged and needs to be pulled.  I figured while the front end is completely off, I might as well do what I can.  I have seen different style fans with better blades to allow better air circulation.  Does anyone have one or know what Im talking about??

I just thought of something else.  I have the front bumper cover all ready to be put on....BUT...that lower piece under the bumper...I don't know what it's called...the air dam maybe...it's a seperate piece right?  I didn't notice it attached on my new bumper.  If it is seperate, where can I get one?

Thanks for any help!!!

First let me say welcome to the forum and don't mind the crazy people. Especially the one with 3 TGP's and 2 TSTE's.    :drinking:  ( Hi idbeast !) There are some very good people here and they really know their stuff. Enjoy your stay!

The piece you need (lower valance panel) is available from a GM dealer. Get one for a '91-'93 GTP.

BTW, It's nice to finally see a female on here with a TGP. (and a good looking one at that)

Thanks!!

Okay, I'm looking thru one of my GM catalogs here at work...I found 2 front lower valances.  One is with the accent molding and one is without.  Do you know which I need...I'll order it today....my car will be here getting put back together tomorrow.  Thanks again!!

Hey -

PN # 12522768 is the lower valence panel.  I ordered it from GM Parts Direct for $105 and $20 something in shipping.  It lists for $180.  Also order  pn # 14101716 x 2.  These are the mounting brackets.

Are you painting the car or leaving it purple?  It does look like it's in good shape.. how's the cross-over?  Good luck!

Thanx for the part #'s!  I'll order them today.
I'm gonna keep the car purple.  The paint job that was done on the car is incredible...all the door jambs, under the hood and trunk are all done perfectly.  The body of the car is in almost mint condition and the color really is nice...the pics dont do it any justice.
As for the x-over...it is new.  The engine and turbo were recently rebuilt....only 37,000 miles since the rebuild.
I am definitely looking forward to getting it on the road for summer time!! :)

** Just noticed something...I went to gmpartsdirect and looked up that part # for the valance....is that the whole bumper??  I just need the lower piece on the bottom of the bumper.
My GM book here says its part # 14087951 w/o molding or 14088031 w/ molding.

Sounds cool!  Hope it treats you well!  Be ready for some frustration!     Oh yes, be ready!

Hi and  Welcome   The tranny cooler is usually in the radiator (fill side) The loop that runs along the front subframe is the power steering loop, and the oil cooler is under the r/fender. Aftermarket upgrades for the tranny and main fan (puller) can be ordered thru  Summit racing.com Great catalogs too! Good luck and a cool color!

90TGPGirl

Thanks!
It must be the oil cooler that I need then...it's just hanging under the right fender.
I've been on Summit's web page before.  Is there a way to look up parts by vehicle?
Thanx!

TGPRobNY

Summit has a good selection. Anyone that fits your line size and location will work, often a larger one would be a good more. They all do the same thing, cool oil. Some have small fans as well. They dealer may be able to get an original, but it may be pricey and may not do as well as a better aftermarket. Enjoy Rob NY

Hate to be a pain, but what is the oil cooler line size?  I really need to get it ordered soon.  The cooler on there now is pretty small...so it has to fit up in the fender.

TGPRobNY

The hoses to the cooler say 3/8. The cooler surface area is 11 x 4" and it has a mounting flange around it. A replacement similiar in size can be tie wrapped to the existing mounting holes as a suggestion.

I have a couple of stock trans coolers for sale. Check my page www.turbogpgarage.com and click on store to see what parts I have. I have alot more than that but its all I have up right now.

All of my parts are ordered and the car is on it's way to my shop today.  This is the oil cooler I got.  It's the closest I found to the stock size, since that's important because of the location.  http://www.carparts.com/parts/newsearch2.asp?reflink=0-0-0-0-0&sourceid=2&parttypeid=3019&itemid=8658&autoidsearch=YES
I'll get some pics up as soon as my car is all back together.
