STOPS OIL FROM RUNNING ALL OVER YOUR FRAME WHEN CHANGING YOUR OIL FILTER

If you want to keep your car under carriage and the garage floor free of oil put this oil filter splash pan on your car. Comes with 2 #8 phillips screws (requires 1/8 (hard to screw in)or 5/64 (easy to screw in) drill bit
and 2 1/4 drill screws along with instructions for installation.

I have my own lift and first I drain the pan and screw in the drain plug when finished  Next I punch a hole with an awl on the filter bottom and let it drain. Never had a mess.

To each his own method. I don't have a lift or an awl. I don't change my own oil and I don't imagine they will stand there and wait for it to drain.
This is designed to get it all. When you brake the filter loose you still have a little spill. You do have to wipe the shield though to get every drop.
