here are a couple of ideas i have running through my head.. Here is my latest exhaust thoughts. Keep in mind i want NO sound. I want it to flow as well as possible but be very quiet.
* 2.5" Downpipe
* 2.5" Carsound Cat
* 2.5" Mandrel bent Midpipe
* 4" round 2.5" in/out Magnaflow muffler/resonator
* Yed into dual 4x9" Magnaflow SS mufflers
* 1997+ GTP tips

I am thinking of adding a second 4" round resonator to make it even quieter. Or for $$$ sake i might do a 3" in/out glasspack rather then a magnaflow 4" round.

I am also wondering..why so quiet?  :shock:  :?  I'm putting on 2.5" mandrel bent piping this summer..no cat..no res., 2.5" Y-Pipe, and 2 Flo Pro twister mufflers. I'd run no muffs at all, but I love the deep sound the Flo Pros have.

QUIET to qualify as a "sleeper" would be my guess. 8)

The main reason why is because i have 3 cars all w/ exhaust.
Lumina (L67)- Glasspacks LOUD LOUD LOUD
Monte (LQ1)- Borla Catback, Mellow but still noticeable
TGP (LG5)- Stock, QUIET AS HELL

I don't want another loud car. I want it to be as quiet as stock but flow MUCH more. Driving a loud car draws to much attention.. so my second reasoning is to keep it a sleeper.  Something i can take chicks out in and not have them complaining about the ROAR of exhaust everytime i accelorate. Last year on the way to KS for the W-body gathering.. I had no sterio and noting but a Monotone exhaust drone for 8hrs straight. that is SO daymn hipnitizing on the highway listening to 1 consistant sound for hours on end...

To me a Quiet car seems a bit more classy. A Lexus and Mersadies w/ stock exhaust just seem nicer thenone w/ aftermarket exhaust.

The Magnaflows that Kenny put on my TGP when he had it are pretty quiet, just a tad louder than stock I assume. Got a nice growl and rumble at idle, and doesn't get too loud at all under acceleration. There's very minimal interior drone as well..

Oh man, you are going out with the wrong chicks if they are complaining about the exhaust.  :roll: Just kidding, but if I ran across a girl that complained about the exhaust on either of my cars that would be the last time they rode in them. Usually its the opposite for me, they always love the sound.  :D

The sleeper thing is cool though, you can really suprise some people that way. We are doing the samething on my buddy's Mustang 5.0. We're putting some quiet mufflers on it and we got some 2.3 liter plaques to go in place of the 5.0 plaques.

Hey, I'd rather have a 2.3 mustang over a 5.0 mustang anyday of the week.  One with a 2.3 turbo anyways!!  :D

Just debadge it. If they can't tell by the rumble of the exhaust they won't know eather way. Improper badgig on a mustang is called "Domestic Rice"  :lol:

My dad ordered a brand new 1970 GTO with a 455 in it but specified that he wanted 400 trim on it. Does that make it domestic rice? Also the point is that it will have no rumble.  One mans opinion I guess.

If it is purchased from a dealer that way then it is not "Domestic" Rice. but if it is added after the fact then it does qualify as domestic rice.. I understand the reasoning behind the badging.... I just don't agree w/ it. The way i see it is If you have a different motor then what is badged on the car eather match the badge or Debadge it completely. I would not intensionally incorrectly badge my cars, my lumina has a Motor swap on it and i removed the "3.4L Multi Port FI" letting from it. As for the GTO, From a Value standpoint If i understand it correctly it will be worth more value if it is properly badged. As for the rumble..I was refering to the V8 Rumble of a 5.0 is Impossible to mistake for a 2.3L "rumble (or the lack there off ;) ).

We all know that the rice boys can't tell a V8 from a weed wacker so whats the difference. So would you disagree with my leaving my stock 5.0 liter plaques on my '92 Firebird Formula even though it has a 383 stroker in it?

I would personally shave all the badges. But its not my car... I was just stating my persional view on the badging situation. I did not intend to upset anyone.

hi-flow intake, straight pipe, dsm bov, 24lb inj,  polished upper intake, turbo, and frt valve cover.
