Well today went pretty good after I got my car back from the mechanic. I have a slight boosting problem. When I floor it hard upto 35mph or so, the engine will just cut out on me. It's like I hit the speed governor or something. So I have to take my car back on Monday to the mechanic to see what the problem is. I think it might be the wastegate acuator rod got shortened a bit/ pushed in, so it's overboosting. Or that the computer is not used to the car running proplery, since I've driven the car for 2 years with a cracked cross-x pipe.

I still have yet to install the TopGun chip.

Pull the ECM fuse ( while you're at it swap the chips..)  it might be running too rich for the conditions now.  I had some errors.. did the mechanic re-learn the idle?  That might be a cause.

Exasperating isn't it.                  When it cuts out on you leave your foot in it, if it comes back on when the rpm's drop and then cuts out again it most likely is fuel cut. Could be as simple as a restricted intake. Take the filter out and try it. (Vacuum out the bottom of the filter housing first) Waste gate is easy to check. Look at the back under the rod. If it?s clean that?s good. If its oozing the diaphragm is probably leaking. Pull the tube to the actuator at the solenoid and pump it with an electric tire pump. The rod should start to move pretty quickly. You can also put a pressure gauge in that line and see about the psi it takes to open. There should be no air leaking from around the rod. Don't put more than 13 psi on it. Hope the helps. If not let us know and we can trouble shoot the solenoid. Then there is alwys an FDC.

My mechanic found out what was wrong today [he's the one that did my cross-x pipe, and just did a tune-up today], it was an old broken vacuum hose. So he replaced it, and all is dandy now.

I even chirped my tires going into 2nd gear [no chip yet]!
