a friend of mine has a 99 mustang gt 5 speed with minor intake and exhaust wrk done  he wants to race me  my car has 112000 miles automatic, topgun160 chip and stat, k&n cone direct to turbo, remove cat.  i have been beaten by a z-28  :? not sure what year (mid 90's) but he was movin and he only beat me after we got to 115!  if it was a 95 i can see why he beat me ( i wont mention the fact that my egr valve came off of my x-over pipe so i was loosin boost pressure and it took my turbo forever to spool up!) :twisted:  so anyway the race betwen the mustang and myself is 0-100 do i have a chance?  will it help if i disconnect my exhaust right behind where my cat was so that i have no restriction? i am in an area where i can do this legally :lol:  oh yea from what i hear this guy has never been beaten ...............maybe i can be the first  :roll:  :twisted:     and also i have run a 14.6 at 92 mph

if its a 99 its a 4.6 there a lot slowwer than the 5.0 stock since they droped displacement and they went to a 4 cam which is a great thing in its own right but its not that performance minded on a 4.6 it flows almost to much air and with the intake and exaust work even more the 4.6 loves the boost and nos but with out eather he may have hurt him self unless the intake work was just a power pipe if the z you ran was a lt1 and he only puted a little on you you stand a good chance i have a freind with a 95 5.0 power pipe k&n headers pullys off road h pipe flowmasters steeda tri ax shifter sway bar removed and upper and lower rear control arms 327 i think gears and a centerforce df all sound deading gone and carpet spare jack its lowwered 1.5 with drag springs i think he has a msd coil and wires i run him from a stop and he pulled a 3/4 to full car b4 i chipped my car we only went 8th mile but once he got the car lingth off the line he never pulled agian at that time his best run was a 14.2 on toyo ts1 so with a chip you should hang or get him he will pull on you off the line unless he smoke them good the mustang i ran was on 275 40 18s and didding spin much from killer driving skills i would go for it if you win rub it in(anti-mustang :twisted: ) and if you dont you will at least know where you stand
