Just thought I'd post a link to an AIM chat for us TGP guys...you can make any chat in the same manner by replacing the words "turbo grand prix"..seperate w/  "+" signs to denote spaces.

aim:GoChat?RoomName=Turbo+Grand+Prix+Chat&Exchange=5

if it doesn't make it a URL, then just copy that into the browser you are using and if you're signed into aol instant messenger, you will be directed to the room....I'll be in there from time to time when at work or at home doing nothing.

I tried IM'ing Waskie to ask about this and have it posted as a sticky the other day(maybe yesterday??), but I didn't get a response, he probably thought I was a spammer or something and didn't respond :D  :shock:  8)

EDIT #5 or 6..lol: BTW, maybe we could set up a certain day/time to chat where a good bit of us could utilize the room at once or something also...besides the regular popping in whenever to see if anyone is in there.

Just a little tip for those that want to use the chatroom but don't want to have to search for this post all the time(although I doubt it will ever get used much anyway...)...upon entering the room, go to "file" and the "create shortcut" and it will place a desktop shortcut to the room on your computer for quicker/easier access..... :D

I can also create one in the MSN chats.  I have DSL so I can basically leave it open 24/7 unless I get disconnected or something.  I did this with the AWD 6000s and actually got a bunch of random curious people to try and find out if I was lying or what  :shock:  I did also get a decent amount of regulars from the yahoo!groups 6000 club.  I had it under the category sports and recreation, which is were most car chats were listed under.

If you guys are interested, let me know.  It's a great way to get to know the members better and to ask/solve problems and share ideas on the spot without having to wait for replys.    How many people would be up for this?

How about this.  I can go ahead and open an MSN room tomorrow night (9/4/03) at say around 9 P.M. central.  I can than just kind of leave it running all day and night from there on out.  Who ever wants to come in is more than welcome to at any time.  I won't be able to be in there till late in the evening, but this way everyone has a place to go instead of hoping and wondering when a chat room will be open.  As I said, I will have it listed under the sports and recreation category.  Just click through the pages (usually around 3-4) under that category till you come across the room.  Hope to see you all there!

why don't we just start another thread w/ a poll or something to arrange a time for a weekly/monthly/whatever chat so that we can all agree on a set day to chat, I mean it's not like it has to be a set thing like a "be there or be square" type deal...you know, just a roundabout' estimate of when we all could possibly engage in a chat from time to time. Waskie, Skalor, and I were in there earlier for a while, I enjoyed chatting w/ the both of them, that's the reason I suggested this so we could have a online TGP fellowship and possibly exhange ideas that we don't usually post about here and whatnot. Anyways, I will probably start a poll on the above mentoned for both the AIM chat I preposed and the MSN chat, either way, doesn't really matter to me. :wink:

Voting sounds like a good idea.  It will be like an on-line gathering for TGPs.....except, without any actual cars there.....and...technically, no people...  :D  In the mean time, I'm going to start the room on the "Sports & Recreation" page of MSN chats again tonight.  I'll be working on some auctions in between, but if anyone's bored enough to come in, stop on by.  It's 8 P.M. central as of this message.
