OMG! I've been watching this car. I don't know where he got is numbers from, but its been sitting at a repair shop for some time now. I talked to the shop guys, but they are foreign and don't speak much english. All they had to say is "New owna, caa very fas" Said he needed to pick it up, but I couldn't get any more info. He has info from my site printed off on the front seat, but I never was able to get a hold of him. Wonder why he's selling it, seemed to me he just got it.

The Burning Rom

I emailed him about his numbers. He gave me part of the description you had on your site..about how you only saw 3 gps with Grey interior, so that's where he got that number. Not sure where he got the 300 from  :?

Wow, he changed his numbers, now it is one of 30 with that interior and one of 3000 of the model, getting closer.    Does anyone besides me find it a little "sketchy" that there aren't any pictures? No engine, no interior, nothing of the other side or rear? Especially when he says he has other pictures available on request.

RareGMFan

Yes.  And that's not exactly much of a description either for trying to sell a car.  Looks like he went the cheap route, though.  Got his first free picture up there and didn't want to pay extra for any more.  Problem is, it's a weeeeeeee bit difficult to sell a car that way.

I hate people that try and sell cars like that over the net. I mean if I'm gonna commit to buying the car, I wanna see the interior and the engine bay. But hey..that could just be me.

You reap what you sow.

Not sketchy. Its all up to the buyer. On autotrader.com you don't get a whole lot more than what you get on ebay. Its better than some, but worse than others. However, I find it annoying some of the ads that have 20 pictures that are 1 meg each. It takes 20 minutes for me to look at one ad. Besides, anything you buy over the internet its going to be a risk, especially a car. They should be inspected first hand as if you are there.

I've sold one car on ebay, and I was very worried about it. It was a Taurus SHO, and had a slipping clutch. Sold as is where is. The guys who won were coming down from NY to Baltimore. I spoke breifly with them on the phone, and indicated that I couldn't guarantee the car would make it back with the clutch.

When they got there they started to pick the car apart. Then they were upset because  they had to "rent" a "skate (NY for a trailer, or a dolly I think).   So we ended up negotiating on the price. I was too scared they would leave me negative feedback because I hadn't 'disclosed something'. Despite several pictures I took of the car and a very good description of each individual part and defect. Its too much of a pain sometimes. An Ebay ad can be either thought of as a Virtual showroom, or an elaborate classified. In the case of the latter, even the most sparse Ebay ad is better than a classified ad, and it reaches WAY more people.

And a $40 just to list, its not exactly pennies.

I completely agree Chris.  It's a risk as you put it.
The wonderful internet.   HEHE!!

Yes.  For example, I'm in a bit of a dispute with the guy who sold me my "absolutely superb, nothing wrong with it" TGP STE.  A few things he failed to mention.  Like his "5 star" headliner is actually being held up by nails    And it seems to have a few driveabilty issues for a car that "runs like a champ".  Well, in his defense, maybe he meant a retired former champ  :x

I didn't leave him negative feedback in fear that he would retalliate with the same, even though I skipped the deposite and just paid him the entire amount immediately for it.  He said he was going to send a check for the shipping charge (which he ignored repeated requests NOT to do since he took 2 months to ship it) and the "fees" that were tacked on at the end which would total about $800.  Of course, that was a few weeks ago, and I still haven't gotten anything.  Time to give another call to our friend.  And if that doesn't cut it, then comes legal action.  The enire ordeal was a joke, and I'm not letting this guy get away with it.

Heres one I have now:

For sale, P.O.S. TGP. One owner car this month. One of a bunch still in existance.

Most have been beat to scheit and have been totaled or scraped.  This one I have for you is a bit of both.  It comes with its own dents all over so you dont have to bother, tires are crap and the rims are so scrapped its just amasing they still hold air.
Red in color with nice touches of gold, black, yellow, orange, brown accents.  Power seats!!  the best part and they work!  leather with no tears, slightly dry rotted so dont let fat chicks sit on them for they will surley split at the seams.
Power antenna goes up and down ALL THE TIME, power sun roof, use the power from your right hand.
Gas saver!!  RPM will not go over 3500 ever! Dont worry about junior racing since it has a speed cutoff at 20MPH, its good for side street use only.

Starting price $500 and we will go up from there.

As listed on E-driveway.con :moon:
