WHen you guys race at the track, what RPMs do you launch at? I know it depends on mods what would be best but just wondering. Also, do you find it better to just floor it from the beginning or kind of feather it until you get past a certain speed, say 35 or when it shifts to second or something. What have you found works best?

nobody races at the track? or just nobody wants to share their secret techniques...

just try different things..torque brake to around 2,000 rpms and then stomp it off the line, if the track is prepped well and is a good track you shouldn't have traction issues too badly...my local track is usually sticky as hell and well prepped, another thing is to do the same as above and only mash down about 3/4 and kinda feather the gas if you do spin at the track and soon as you know you have traction put it to the floor, basically just practice a bit on a backroad if possible so the nervousness of being at the track in front of people isn't bothering you

Different launches for each car.....

2500 is a good launch for me at ALT 5800 ft.

Idbeast launches between 1800 / 2000 in his cars.

Its a trial and error process as to what works best for your car, several factors play into this also tires, condition of track, strength of tranny / diff., tire pressure.  Only you can find the "sweet" spot for your car.  And remember it will be different on the street than the track (just in case you were going to do some testing)

good luck
