The "screen" is nothing more than a compass and at the top of the screen it gives service reminders, Instant MPG, average MPG, average speed, etc..... I have never heard of one not working though so I don't know where to tell you to start...

When all else fails, punch it.

This may sound relatively stupid, but did you make sure the harness is plugged in in the back of the unit?    It's not very common for the DIC (Driver Information Center, which is what you're talking about) to go out, but I would think it does happen from time to time.  There was a TGP on eBay just a little while back that said the DIC wasn't working.

Sometimes the fourecent bulb inside blows out. i don't think its serviceable,  but the DIC's are fairly easy to find.

If you need one i have one out of the Parts car for sale. It worked when it was taken out and wrapped up, but I"ll test it again and make sure. Also, I can take a pic for you tonight of what they look like lit up. I'm doing tranny swap pics anyhow.

when I try to press a bottom it sayz "MISS OP"...
does anyone know what that means...
you think I might have to reset it...
and if so, where iz tha reset bottom for tha car located...

MISS OP just means you pushed buttons in the wrong order.
There should be two indented buttons on the lower right side of the panel they will help in setting it up.  It takes some getting use to.  It some what of a pain to set up.

All you have to do is wait until the specific item you want to reset has gone through its cycle, then it goes blank, comes back and says for instance, Change Oil 0 miles.  That's when you hit reset.  Just hit the service button and watch it, it will scroll, then it will be steady on the screen.  That's when you hit reset.

Okay thanx...
I'm gonna' mess with it in a while...
I get back to you...

TGPrix.

Okay i get how to set all that stuff...
but how do a set tha compass...
my compass thinks south iz East...

R Dubya

You gotta go someplace where you can do 2 or 3 left circles.  Point the car due north, hit the calibrate button and do them and it sets itself.

Not trying to "hijack" this thread but it would be soooo cool if someone could reprogram the messages on the screen like..."Good morning Mr. President",  "Change your oil dumb ass", "Average Speed - Too slow Grandma", .......
