I pulled up to a light against a distant friend of mine with a clean 3rd gen Camaro RS.  I'm guessing with the doggy 305, so this one isn't anything to write home about.  He took me off the line but once the boost came fully online I passed him with ease, then he stayed about 1 length behind until we let off around 65.  Woulda liked to take it all the way cause I don't know if he would have caught me on top end!

Then I was at the street races for the first time with the TGP and I pull through the crowds lined up on the side of the roads and let the turbo scream a little bit and I swear EVERYONE turned and looked with this really confused look on their face like "Did I just hear a TURBO spool on a Grand Prix???"  Then I went to turn around and it was kind of like Pee Wee Herman at the bull-ring (bad analogy) - suddenly I was lined up for a race against a older-style hatchback Supra by accident!  I didn't realize where I turned around was where the racers were lining up in pairs.  So I figured rather than back out of it I'd just try.  It was an asian driver so he was in his element and I knew those Supras can be hella fast!  He asked if I had a turbo and was surprised to hear yes.  Flagger dropped and I toasted him off the line and I had about 2 lengths on him before he maintaned!!!  I only took it up to about 65 again from being unfamiliar with the area but it was a good time.

Then I turned around and parked and a few 3.1 owners were going nuts giving me that classic "Wow this is the same engine in my car but with a turbo!!" thing I'm sure you all have experienced.  I was gonna race a friend with a Cavalier Z24 to compare the difference until the local Po-Po showed up and cleared us out.  Good times though!  The best part was everyone's look when I spooled it up.  8)
