I am wondering what you guys think looks better, i am going to get my car repainted soon and the guy i was going to have repaint it said that normal black with gold flake looks a hundred times better then black metalic with gold flake, because the latter looks like it has a film of dust on it all the time. I can't really judge because the paint on my car is so bad. What do you guys think, personally myself i would like keep the car somewhat orginal, but if normal black looks that much better...

Can't you use reg. black and just clearcoat it real good?

I can understand the dusty look he describes. I think if what you are saying is a black basecoat with a gold flake clearcoat layer will look good.

When its really clean though, I like the black mettalic way more than just black. So i would definitely keep some sort of metallic regardless of how its done.

If you want very dark black, take a look at PPG [I think that's the company] Super Intense Black. It has no blue or green mixed in like other blacks do [not all blacks, but GM mixes blue, and Ford mixes in green]

I am sorry i confused you, when i took a look at my message i saw i had typed it instead of if in the last line and i didn't even understand what i was trying to say.  Anyways from i gather from i gather from you guys is that normal black looks better the black metallic when a little dirty but when clean mettalic looks a lot better, either way i will get clear coated and flaked.   But you would recommend the mettalic?/ Will a clear coat prevent the dusty look?

Either way you slice it, if black is at all dirty it doesn't look good. Which one do I think looks better? When both are clean, from a distance they both look black, very black. Whats neat about the TGP black is when you get closer to it it sparkles a little bit. Doesn't look dusty to me at all.  I've also had MANY black cars, so if I was going to do any kind of black again, it would be metallic.
