Something else you guys might want to think about is Alcohol Injection. It most likely allow a lot of you guys to run more boost than you thought was possible with out race gas and a better turbo. GN guys have been using it for years and its a pretty proven for reducing intake temps and letting you high boost without race gas. SMC makes a really good kit that alot of Gn and Sy/Ty guys have used.

I hope to see some 12 second times slip from you guys this spring.

so ya want us to beat ya  huh? and are we allowed to do things like unhook exhaust at down pipe to eliminate backpressure? and take out the spare?

I've read about that alcohol injection kit, it seems like it would definetely be worth it, even for a slightly modified car.  But it's almost $400 isn't it?   A little steep for me right now, but maybe in a year or two.

Sure why not. As long as I get to bolt on a bigger turbo like your doing. Maybe spray some alky too. You know just to keep things fair.  :D

if you're interested in alky injection, search for Eclipse5302 on this board and then go to the website..he has a smc enterprises kit if I'm remembering right and shows how he installed it and whatnot on his site
.ah I found the link for you guys.. http://www.turboste.com/  8) Anyone had any luck constructing their own alky kit? I know of a easy way to get the alcohol in, but I can't really think of a good way to control it at the moment like the SMC controller allows.

You know, it's a little harder to make 1 wheel and 3.1 liters go 12's but w/ a *few* extra tires, and 1.2L worth of displacement, I think we should get a couple power adders on ya.   Hell, if that's how it's gonna be, I just drop my 3800S2T in there.

I know that is far harder to make a TGP's fast. Eventhough Sy/Ty's have a small aftermarket TGP have none by comparison. Anyone who can get a TGP into the 12's deserves tons of respect. Im getting the feeling this thread has started to take a turn and is turning into some kind of a compitition and thats not what I wanted happen. I was trying to give some suggestions from stuff that I've learned from the Sy/Ty world. I'm not trying to give you guys crap or something saying my stuff is better. Hell the reason Im on here is because Im going to buy a TGP for a daily driver in the next year.

No, that's not the way it was going IMO, one thing I don't want to do it push a Sy/Ty person away.  Us GM Turbo people got to stick together, not too many of us.  We (I at least) respect, and welcome all the tips, tricks, and ideas you've got.  I was just having a little fun w/ ya, and my sister passed away 2 days ago, so I'm just trying to make the best of the holidays and keep my mind off of it.

Yeah, I completely agree with you that we need to stick together.  Although, us FWD guys don't get any respect.  I get many a strange looks when I tell people that I'm a GM FWD nut.  Don't get me wrong as I love GNs, SyTys, and even the occasional F-body(even though their engine bays suck :D).  I just feel that we are often overlooked in the performance aspectof things.  Although, the L67 powered cars have helped us immensely to show people what GM FWD can do.   8)

god910,  I'm sorry to hear about your sister passing away.  It's a real tragedy when something happens that close to you.  You have my condolences and I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you can still manage to have a Happy Holiday season.   :(

Probably not nearly as strange of a look as I got from the owner of an 11 second Typhoon last summer during a cruise night in Downer's Grove.  I saw the thing parked in a lot because the street itself was out of spaces.  Took a quick glance at it when I was walking by.  Later on, when the show was pretty much over and most of the cars were gone, I got in my car and was leaving when I noticed the truck had parked in the street with its hood up.  So I pulled into a space a couple spots ahead of him to get a closer look.  It was white with a big country dude gaurding it while the middle aged owner was sitting on a bench near by.  We talked for a good 30 minutes at least.  Then I told him that the Pontiac 6000 that I came in was also AWD, and I had a TGP motor waiting to drop into it.  I don't think he was familiar with either vehicle, so you could imagine the shock.  He shot a look at me like "wtf are you talking about?"  I don't think he believed me at first untill I started going into detail about both cars.  He just kept starring at the 6000 without a word, then finally asked ..... "AWD?"

He was looking to race for some money and asked me where 75th street was.  I gave him directions and we parted ways.  Needless to say, I probably gave him quite a bit of information to digest.  But MAN was that truck SWEET!  Running over 700 hp he said!!!  I can't remember the guys name, but he was some big time racer from what the body gaurd was telling me.

My condolences, as well.  I know it's hard to make sense of such events, but I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, even if we don't know or understand that reason at the moment.  Keep your head up, buddy.  I think I speak for all of us on the TGP forum when I say if you need anything, we're here for you.
