My friend's dad has a new one, and says it will beat my car.  I did some research and it will run a 14.7.  So what do you guys think, with a topgun chip and a UD pulley do you think I have a chance?

I'm wondering the same thing as my boss has the same car.  It's a really nice looking car(kinda maroon w/ 17" wheels).  He says he would beat me, but I kinda think I would take him...especially off the line.  It would definitely be close, but I think you could take him.   8)

If everything is running properly on the your cars, you have a K&N, and a TG chip, you should be right there with him.  The stock 1/4 mile back in '90 was around 15.3.  The chips have been known to push the cars anywhere from around 14.2 to 14.7 *IF EVERYTHING IS FUNCTIONING 100%*, so you should have a pretty fare chance against the G 35s.  It will be interesting, that's for damn sure.

I don't know what might happen from a stop but I toyed with one of those  early last summer (he seemed to punch it when I came up behind him), and we ran right next to each other for 6 or 7 miles through Des Moines(I-80) at about 90-110mph. I think that was the beginning of the end for my camshaft.  My car has no chip mods. Mods were no air conditioner; TB bypass; new stock injectors; K&N on turbo; 180 t-stat;   Funny thing is that a Corvette Z06 came by us about the end of our little run and he kept staying a couple car lengths ahead of us as if to say "who's gonna punch it" but he gave me the thumbs up when I went West towards Omaha and he kept going South onto I-35 as did the G-35.  Hope he gave that other guy the "finger up" sign as he blew him away.  Dale           Omaha, NE.
