Anyone else's DIC do this?

LOL thought that's get some attention.

Does anyone else's DIC not glow as bright when the lights are turned on? Like at night, and maybe it's just the cold, but when I start the car and turn on the headlights, the DIC dims obviously, but to an almost unreadble dim...any ideas?

It is supposed to dim to some degree when you turn your lights on, but it shouldn't do it so dim that you can't read it..

My SE has this problem when you first start it in the morning, but as the car has been running for a while and the alt gets a chance to charge up the battery, then it isn't as dim... I think it is due to the 8 year old battery in the car and the fact that it is below zero on most mornings :laugh:

It must just be the cold then. Mine gets brighter eventually, but it just is so damn dim when it's first starting up.

Your DIC is suffering from illumination dysfunction, just be glad it's not erectile dysfunction. :icon_lol:

On a serious note, the DIC in my car looks the same with the lights on or off, it's really bright.

Really? With the lights off might's bright. And in the dark with the lights off, mine's DAMN bright. But with the lights on there is a difference. Mfewtrail, maybe you should have called the doctor within the first 4 hours.

Our dodges have balls ask Jimmy he was right nut last week. He needed a turbo fix.
I need to know what is the DIC. I just can't figure out the letters. I was like blank information center?

I had the same issue if I ran in the daytime with the parking lights on I cannot read the dic. I got a newer style DIC out of a 92? SE which is the dot matrix lcd design with the black background. All the wires are the same just plug it in and it works just like the VFD you have now. Got it for like 9 bucks like it a whole lot better.
