I am planning on doing a turbo swap on my 3.1 beretta.  I am switching out the ecu, manifolds, injectors and map sensor.   I will be able to run 7 psi safely on this setup.  My question is, Is the TGP T25 Acuator adjustable to run 5psi Daily?   I am installing at AVC-R boost controller, but I need to lower the set boost so I can run around 4-5 psi daily and run 7 psi when racing.  Thanks For Your Help!

cool :)  i am installing a TGP setup in my '91 Cutlass.  you don't really need to switch out the ECU; only the PROM chip.  and the manifolds shouldn't need to be switched out either.  i am swapping out my '3.1 Multi Port Fuel Injection' manifold (plenum) for the '3.1 Intercooled Turbo' plenum, but it is really just for looks.  oh yeah, there is also a threaded hole for the AIT sensor that is already there (i'm using a K&N cone so i can't have the AIT in the air box).  i'm not really keen on the wastegate stuff, but either Eclipse5302 or Chris A (and others of course) should be able to give you more info there.  i think minimum boost is around 4-5 psi (wastegate unplugged?), but you should be able to run 10lbs or more if you get a chip from TGPilot.  TGPilot (Kenny) might have to do some changes to the chip tho since the Beretta is lighter, maybe different gearing etc.  i am going to run the stock ECM controlled wastegate solenoid at first with my setup, but i plan on using a grainger valve for boost control later, along with Diacom, alcohol injection, 1g DSM BOV, boost & A/F gauges, bigger injectors, fuel pump, HV oil pump, etc.  later i would like to add a T3, custom lower compression pistons, blah blah.  tell us more about your setup and good luck!

sorry, when you said manifolds i only thought of the intake manifolds.  you will need to swap out the rear exhaust manifold, tho but you already knew that.  the front exhaust manifold can stay tho.  and you'll need the exhaust crossover obviously.  btw, are you going to use an intercooler?  i have an extra TGP intercooler for sale if you're interested, but i'm not sure if it would work in an L-body or not.

You can cut and thread the wastegate rod to make it longer.

The stock wastegate will start opening at around 4-5 psi with an unrestricted line from the turbo outlet to the wastegate.  Depending on air temp and other factors, that number will be higher...it may reach 7 psi at times.

Will an electronic boost controller control this?  Is there any way to keep it stable(no boost spike)?

I would guess an electronic boost controller would do the trick.  I've never used one, but judging by prices (like $300 sometimes) I would guess they are pretty good at controlling boost spike.

This controller is race proven and is $100

of course there are others cheaper, if you just want some nice looking electronics then get it, but if you don't care and just want control  this one will do it.
hi-flow intake, straight pipe, dsm bov, 24lb inj,  polished upper intake, turbo, and frt valve cover.

There are even cheaper boost controllers out there......try http://www.joepmbc.com/embc.htm for both electric $145.00  or $45.00  for manual. :patriot:

Do I have to swap out my ecu with this plan: Swap manifolds, injectors, map sensor, and intake plenium.  Do I have to swap out the complete Ecu or can I add a 3.1 Turbo PROM?

Don't feel too bad, i'm trying the same in a cavalier.  only problem i've hit is that damned engine mount on the drivers side of the engine compartment.  either custom crossover time or custom engine mount time..

Dual boost control for $15.00. You can use the stock actuator relay for your first stage (about 4 to 5 #) then ground the relay with a switch to go to second stage using a granger valve for control up to whatever psi you want. As jason said it will blow open from 5 to 7#. Just add a spring to the waste gate. This blew me away at how well it works. You will still get some minor tire spin but at least you won't roast the tires.

Yeah!  Thats what was on my 5 speed before.  I had it hooked up to a switch, so in the city crusing it was doing like 4-5 psi, then you flick the switch and more power!  It worked nice.
