What do you guys think about painting a TGP a different color then just red or black???

TimZ26

To do it correctly would be a major pain in the butt.  To fully change the color of the car the engine bay, door areas, trunk area would all have to be gutted to be painted.   This way say if your car was blue and you lifted the hood you would see red, kinda tacky.

Besides the emblems are paint matched.  I vote keep original color

It would be sacriligious to repaint the TGP anything but the original color (a few accents would be okay).

hmm i think a metallic gray like some of the '80's T-Type's would be cool.  some new mustangs have a nice gray too.  but yeah, it would take alot of work to get everything like door sills n'stuff.  personally i would never own ANY bright red car as i firmly believe they are targeted (maybe subconciously) by law enforcement, ecspecially if they look fast like the TGP does.  no offense, i really do think a red TGP is one nice looking ride :P

I agree with you about red being targeted. I was on I-80 in betwen 4 or 5 other cars. We were all doing 85. We go by a cop and guess who he picks out of the crowd? That's right. Poor old me. But I wouldn't change the color from red though. It just looks too damn good.

After 14 moving citations, mostly in black cars/trucks, I would think that black was targeted!

I once saw a TGP in dark red on the web.  I have a pic on my computer at home that I will try to post soon.

what about flat black with two white strips down the center like a viper.
then your keeping some white on it. it won't look so weird opening the hood or door and seeing white.
(all on a white car. I don't know about a red one)

I'd rather have blue strips

i was thinking keep the black mettalic, and add a few accents and spoiler, and then maybe if i get carried away two yellow stripes (same color as rims) down the center
