Let's see....

Changed:

Spark plugs
Spark plug wires
Ignition coils
Ignition control module
Oil return line
Battery terminal bolts
Thermostat
Lower heater hose
Radiator (with one from the old parts car)
Transmission cooler lines
Sub-frame bolts, retainers, upper and lower bushings, and spacers.

I might be forgetting some things....
Holy maintainence batman! :icon_eek:

Oh on my list I forgot, I smoked the tires from a stop for the first time ever in mine :icon_eek:

Yeah, all stuff that was way overdue.  Hadn't really touched this car in the 2 years I have had it prior to this.  Still a long way to go if I keep it, too.

I just bought my TGP three weeks ago, so I haven't done much to it, but here is what I have done so far:

Cleaned and detailed the interior and carpet-cleaned the carpet.  I couldn't believe how clean it came.  :icon_biggrin:
Washed and waxed the exterior.  She's really shiny now!   :icon_cool:

On my to do list:
change my oil & oil filter
replace my driver's side door handle :willy_nilly:
put in new prior reman. PMIII
replace my exhaust crossover with new Jeff M. crossover
buy & put in Kenny chip and 180 thermostat
put on K&N air filter and crankcase breather
figure out why my tranny shifts 1st gear to 2nd gear so hard
clean out my TB and all EGR passages
replace my oil pump drive seal (and throttle body gasket while I'm at it.)
clean TB and all sensors & passages in/around it
replace all of my sensors
replace my plugs, wires, caps
replace my fuel injectors with ford 19# injectors
replace my mufflers
remove gutted cat and replace with a straight piece of pipe
drain, flush, and refill my fluids
clean my engine bay  :icon_rolleyes:
wash the underside of the car and undercoat it
replace my foglights and sidemarkers with ones from the 89 model year (with black trim around them)
paint or put some kind of trim around my headlights (to look like 89's)
I'm gonna stop with the list now cuz yeah that is a lot to do!   :icon_eek:   :willy_nilly:

replace my mufflers with flowmasters

Flowmasters aren't the *best* muffler choice for turbocharged vehicles, I would go with something w/ a more straight-through design like a Dynomax or Magnaflow muffler.

the wheels are from a 94 rx7, only weigh 15.5lbs per wheel, but i did neeed wheel adapters/spacers (minimal weight gain and its all centralized, so not much loss in performance with spacers, still a loss in rotating mass over stock by 3lbs per wheel or so)......i had a trial run with some spacers i picked up very cheap but were far to big (2in) but i noticed that the rears were less flush (with the fender edge) than the fronts (spacers equal) so i went with 1.25in spacing for the fronts and 1.5in for the rear...worked perfectly...the wheels come out more much more flush to the fender now and it looks way better than how the stocker were tucked way under!! pics to come!! already had some nice coments from friends and strangers...which is a relief because i wasn't so sure how black on red would work!  kinda want 18s again now though!  the eagles are oustanding tires...unreal in rainy weather especially!!  but even on dry day they are a 100x better than the stock goodyears!  need to run them above 45lbs to really get good cornering out of them!

Thats interesting, I didn't know RX7 wheels were ~115x5....hmm.....Good to know...definitely get some pictures if you would

futuretgp'er

they aren't quite 5x115 they are 5x114.3....thats why i mentioned i need the wheel adapters...the rx7 wheels are a +50mm offset so you need some good size spacers to get them back out to to even stock..

yeah im working on pictures of the car with the wheels on and scan of my dyno sheets...i think they may have been lost!  along with my last 1/4mi time slips....what a waste of $$$ for the dyno if they were tossed!

Yeah, I noticed that, I had my hopes up, they have terrible offsets.  Tons of wheel options too :icon_cry:

I guess I'm stuck with heavy ass Mustang wheels  :icon_mad:

Bolted/sealed up the oil pan and timing cover, violently banged my new dipstick tube into place, dropped the lifters in, bolted up the 3400 starter and the lower motor mount/bracket.
