Here are my TGP MODs and Dyno Numbers:
Mods:
Cone Intake
147,xxx Miles on motor

Dyno Results:
198.3 HP
261.7 TQ
17.5 A/F Mixture

So it is Running VERY VERY VERY rich up top. Does anyone know if a Super AFC from Apexi will work on our cars. If i lean it out up top it should gain a healthy ammount of power. The A/F mixture up top was so high it was off the scale my 3rd run. So leaning it out will make the top end pull much harder. Anyone know why i made so much power w/ only an intake. I know it would increase the boost. but not enough to put down what i did.

intake is one the most restrictive part on this car other than the -----> chip<----   If you haven't already scrap the cat its like 3rd on the list.
hi-flow intake, straight pipe, dsm bov, 24lb inj,  polished upper intake, turbo, and frt valve cover.

thats some sickening #'s 2.  If it makes 225ehp or whp how can an intake put it almost 35-40hp over that LOL  !  can you say underated power #'s!  I need to dyno mine.

No Shyt! How did i make 36ft/lbs Tq over stock "At the crank power" w/ just an intake.... I would put dimes to doughnuts that they are very under rated. Stock HP at the wheels assuming 18% drivetrain loss should be:
168.1hp
184.5TQ

that means i am:
30.2hp over stock
77.2ft/lbs over stock

BTW my cat and my mandrels came in. I am ready to do a downpipe.

lol! for some reason the reply went to the wrong post :D ! the down pipe and other parts you got in
hi-flow intake, straight pipe, dsm bov, 24lb inj,  polished upper intake, turbo, and frt valve cover.

Real good #'s and very believable.  Like 1Truecav.... said the stock air box is VERY restrictive.  When you just put the cone filter on the turbo spools up Much quicker and thats probably why you get a great torque spike.
On the subject of cat. converters, I put a high flow jobber on mine b4 and saw little improvement. Ditching it all together probably would show gains if thats an option in your area without inspections, but otherwise why stink up the world with horrid exhaust.

after 13/14yrs you cat may toast, thats why I was suggesting cat
hi-flow intake, straight pipe, dsm bov, 24lb inj,  polished upper intake, turbo, and frt valve cover.

Downpipe goes on this week. I BARLY passed emmisions so i am ready to get this thing leak free and cleaned up. I am going to reseal the hole top end here soon. and hopefully get an afc w/ some extra $$$ if have some.

i have not got a straight answer yet on the AFC, Will it work w/ our cars? I think it will but i want to be sure it does before i drop $300 on it.

Quite a few gm fwd j-bodies tried them and couldn't not get it to work correctly on a boosted car.  Not to say it won't work on a tgp but it seems like if it was that easy jeff m would not have done so much extensive work on the chips.  :?:  :?:  :!:

I will look into it more.. I heard from someone that it would work w/ MAP based GM cars.

Jeff M's chip does more then adjust fuel. His i assume does timeing, boost and whatever else.  The S-AFC Is striclty a fuel adjustement, it doesn't effect timeing or anything else as far as i know. Not to mention it would require a Dyno and a wideband OS inorder to tune properly. where as Jeff M's chip is allready designed and ready to drop into a car.
